Spencer Scott had a memorable season: The Stillwater senior led his team to the Class 2A state championship where he scored the title-winning goal in overtime. It's no wonder he is just one of many players named all-state for their performance in 2018.

The list of all-state players, compiled by the state's coaches association, spotlights some of the best talent in Class 1A and Class 2A. Players are nominated by coaches and voted on by a selection committee.

La Crescent-Hokah junior Isaac Petersen scored a state-best 49 goals through the regular season, so it's no wonder why he was selected to the Class 1A all-state boys' soccer first team.

This year's all-state teams include players such as Blake senior Jake Lundberg, who helped carry the Bears to a Class 1A state championship.

Breck and Totino-Grace boast two players on the Class 1A first team while Minneapolis Washburn and Stillwater lead Class 2A schools with two players named to the first team.
