We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.
Minnetonka vs. Wayzata, 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 17. The only undefeated teams in the Lake Conference square off to open the week. The Skippers (6-0-3, 1-0-1) tied, then fell to rival Wayzata (3-2-4, 2-0-1) in their two games last season.
Bloomington Kennedy vs. St. Louis Park, 5 p.m., Monday, Sept. 17 AND St. Louis Park vs. Bloomington Jefferson, 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 20. St. Louis Park faces the other two teams at the top of the Metro West Conference. The Orioles (6-0-1, 2-0-0) could take control of the conference race with wins over the Eagles (4-3-1, 2-0-0) and Jaguars (4-4-1, 2-0-0).
