Here's the selections of the Star Tribune All-Metro boys' soccer team:


Armin Bobaric, Andover boys' soccer

BOYS’ FIRST TEAM

(All are seniors unless noted)

Forwards/midfielders

 

Armin Bobaric, Andover: Huskies coach John Schlichtmann lauded him as a “magician with the ball.”

 

Gladymir Jeudi, soph., North St. Paul: Fueled the Polars’ attack with 31 assists.

 

Callen Knutson, Minneapolis Southwest: Tremendous all-around player. Six game-winning goals.

 

Suad Suljic, Minnetonka: Star Tribune Metro Player of the Year. Won Mr. Soccer. Scored 25 goals.

 

Sam Moses, Park Center: Led Pirates to first state appearance in 12 years. Scored 18 goals.

 

Avishai Eller, jr., Breck: Technically sharp and tactically flawless.

Chase Wright, Lakeville South: Explosive speed allows him to beat constant double-teams.

 

Defenders

 

Blake Neumann, Anoka: Anchored defense for defending Class 2A state champion Tornadoes.

 

Alex Kotula, Orono: Linchpin of the state’s best defense. Spartans had more shutouts (nine) than goals allowed (seven).

 

Ryan Yang, St. Paul Como Park: Manned the center back spot for a sound Cougars defensive unit.

 

Goalkeeper

 

Sean Teske, Eastview: Smooth and fundamentally sound. Kept an low-scoring Lightning team in many games.

DAVID LA VAQUE
