As the defending Class 1A state champion, Orono is no stranger to postseason success.
Neither is Blake, which reached the Class 1A state title game every year from 2011-13. The Bears won a state championship in 2011 but didn't make it out of Section 3 last season after falling to Minneapolis Washburn 4-0.
Both teams seem primed to enter the playoffs ready for a long run. Orono ranked No. 3 in the latest Class 1A poll provided by the state coaches association while Blake has climbed to No. 5.
This matchup featuring two of Class 1A's top-ranked teams that are expected to make a run at section titles is our Top Game of the Week.
