North St. Paul can wrap up the Metro East Conference title with a win over St. Thomas Academy in their finale league game of the season.
The two teams tied for last year's conference title, and the matchup with the Cadets, ranked No. 4 in the Class 1A coaches' association poll, looms larger after the No. 1-2A Polars fell to Stillwater 3-2 in overtime on Oct. 3. The Ponies became the first Minnesota team to beat North St. Paul this season. The Polars lost 7-5 to Hudson (Wis.).
