We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.

Holy Angels vs. Visitation, 4:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 22: The Tri-Metro Conference matchup will feature two top-10 teams heading in opposite directions. Led by Audrey Garton (seven goals, three assists), Holy Angels (7-1) is the top-ranked team in Class 2A and looks to be a state title contender. Lucy Petschel has recorded 11 goals and four assists, but Visitation (3-5-1) has lost two in a row and was No. 10 in Class 2A in the Sept. 12 rankings.

St. Francis vs. Monticello, 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 26: St. Francis (9-2) has had six shutout victories this season, but earning a seventh will be a difficult task when they host Monticello (7-1-1). The Magic have three players who have scored more than five goals this season in Bella Vasoli (10 goals), Olivia Hanson (seven goals) and Sophie Haase (six goals, nine assists).
