Boys' top games: Unbeaten and top-ranked Blake renews longstanding rivalry with Breck

We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.






Other games to keep an eye on

Brainerd vs. Bemidji, 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 21. No. 9-1A Bemidji (5-1-0, 2-0-0) features a top scoring threat in Ethan Mock (11 goals) and one of the state’s best defenses (one goal allowed) against Paul Bunyan-area rival Brainerd (4-1-0, 3-1-0), which got a pair of goals from Jack Thorkelson on Sept. 12 in a key Central Lakes Conference victory over Willmar.

Totino-Grace vs. Champlin Park, 5 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 19. Steevie Lamarre (nine goals) leads No. 3-1A Totino-Grace (4-2-0, 2-2-0) against Northwest Suburban Conference rival Champlin Park (3-2-0, 3-2-0).
