Eden Prairie alum, freshman Taylor Uhl scores hat trick

The University of Minnesota opened their home season on Sunday with a dynamic 5-0 shutout performance over South Dakota State.

Last year at this time Taylor Uhl had just started her first week of training with her Eden Prairie High School soccer team. At Sunday’s home opener for the Gophers, Uhl scored the team’s first goal of the season for Minnesota.

For most Freshman that might be enough, but not for Uhl who led her high school team on to the State Championship and won the coveted Ms. Soccer for Class 2A. Uhl ended the day with 7 points: a 3-goal hat trick performance with an assist to boot.
