Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Soccer Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.

Top Performer winner

Kyle Goettsche, Osseo. An astounding 18 saves by the goalkeeper ensured Osseo's 3-1 triumph over Andover on Oct. 2. The junior stopped 15 more shots in a 1-1 draw at Anoka on Oct. 4.

Top performer candidates

Kevin Ortiz, Austin. A goal and two assists from the midfielder propelled Austin, ranked No. 7 in the Class 1A coaches' poll, to a 4-0 win over Northfield on Oct. 2. Ortiz continued his good form by scoring the game-winner to edge Rochester Century 1-0 on Oct. 4.

Avery Warren, Maranatha/West Lutheran. Warren kept out 14 shots in two games in net last week, including an eight-save effort in a 4-0 win over Rockford. His play has helped his defense allow just four goals through six consecutive wins.

Gavin Goralnick, Mahtomedi. The senior midfielder provided crucial points for the No. 5-1A Zephyrs as they ended the regular season on a three-game winning streak. Goralnick scored both goals in a 2-1 win at Hill-Murray, assisted once in a 2-1 victory against Hastings and scored in a 2-1 triumph at St. Thomas Academy.

Ahmad Jalloh, North St. Paul. Jalloh had a pair of two-goal games for the Polars last week, which included wins over South St. Paul (3-0 on Oct. 1) and Forest Lake (2-0 on Oct. 2) — helping North St. Paul keep up with Mahtomedi in a tightly contested conference.
