See who fans voted as the Top Performer for Sept. 4-8

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Soccer Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.

Top Performer winner

Nate Dean, Waconia. Four of Dean’s eight shots last week found the back of the net, as his team raced to a 6-0 start on the season. The junior had a pair of two-goal games — one in a 7-1 win over Rogers on Sept. 4, then two days later in a 10-0 win over Hutchison — and added four assists on the week.

Top performer candidates

Isaac Petersen, La Crescent. The junior tallied hat tricks in each of La Crescent's three wins last week and added two assists in an 8-0 win over Lake City on Sept. 8. His scoring touch has him tied for the state lead with 11 goals this season.

Kade Eggum, New Prague. Eggum racked up 46 saves in three matches last week, with each game being decided by just a goal. That included the Trojans' Sept. 4 win over Mayer Lutheran, in which he made 15 saves to secure a 1-0 final.

Alejandro Ferrer-Lugo, Minnetonka. The senior defender is part of a unit that has allowed just two goals this season. He’s also providing his team with offense: In three matches last week, Ferrer-Lugo scored three goals, including both in a 2-0 win over Eden Prairie on Sept. 4.

Demetrius Bernardy-Nelson, Centennial. The junior scored or assisted on all four of his team's goals last week, and he leads Centennial in goals (7) and co-leads in assists (4). He recorded an assist on the first goal and then scored the game-winner in a 2-1 win over Mounds View on Sept. 8.
