We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.

Other games to keep an eye on

Lakeville North vs. Lakeville South, 5 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 11. Dating back to 2011, Lakeville North (3-0-2, 1-0-0) has won every matchup in this rivalry, except for last year’s 1-1 draw. Will this be the year Lakeville South (3-1, 1-0) breaks through with a win?

Cloquet vs. Two Harbors, 5 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 13. Cloquet (4-1) is averaging nearly 4.0 goals per contest behind state-leading scorer Kendra Kelley, who has high hopes for her team. Two Harbors (5-1-1, 3-0-0) boasts its own fantastic forward, Sami Szendrey, who has seven goals and two assists on the season.
