Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Soccer Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. Coaches or members of their staffs needing access to enter stats should email mnhubs@sportngin.com.

Fans' choice for top performer

Mariana Cournoyer, St. Paul Highland Park. Cournoyer’s been nearly perfect to start the year for the Scots, who are 2-1 on the season. The junior goalkeeper recorded consecutive shutouts against New Life Academy and St. Paul Academy — stopping seven and nine shots, respectively — before an impressive 21-save performance at Bloomington Kennedy.

Top performer candidates

Kendra Kelley, Cloquet. The senior, who led the state in goals last year with 43, is again finding the back of the net this season. After a six-goal performance in Cloquet's 8-0 season-opening win over Forest Lake, Kelley scored four in a 7-0 win over Tartan and had two more in a 3-0 win against Esko. She currently sits atop the state's scoring leaderboard with 12 goals.

Alex Lotts, Champlin Park. Lotts' 10 goals through four games helped Champlin Park go undefeated in August. One highlight was her five-goal performance in the Rebels' 12-0 victory at St. Cloud Apollo on Aug. 23. Lotts also has two assists and two game-winning goals on the season.

Haley Reeck, Edina. Edina is off to a fast start with four wins in August, and Reeck is a big reason why. The sophomore forward had three goals in the Hornets’ 7-3 victory over Burnsville, and she's recorded four assists this season — two coming in a tight 3-2 win at Prior Lake.

Bekkah Scufsa, Simley. The junior forward racked up nine points in four games, including a hat trick against Nova Classical, to help Simley finish August with a 3-0-1 record. Scufsa leads her team in goals (5) and assists (4).
