QUICK Q&A:  DANA SAVINO, HILL-MURRAY, SR. SOCCER

Savino, Hill-Murray's 2011 soccer player of the year, has racked up just about every soccer honor in Minnesota as a defender. Her upcoming senior year presents another shot at a state title and an opportunity to add to an already decorated résumé.

Who's the most dazzling soccer player in the world and why? Cristiano Ronaldo is the most dazzling and electrifying because of how good his foot skills are and his ability to take anybody on and beat them.

In five years, I hope to...? I hope to have had a successful soccer career and to continue playing after college for fun!

What are three words you would use to describe your style of play? Playmaker, simple, elegant.

If you could play in any soccer stadium in the world, what stadium would you play in? Soccer City in Johannesburg, South Africa, the stadium where Spain won the 2010 World Cup.

If you could meet any athlete or celebrity in the world, who would it be? David Beckham.

As a soccer player, I try to emulate ... Megan Rapinoe and Abby Wambach because they are both extremely determined players with good foot skills. I learn something new every time I watch them play.

As a fan, what's your all-time favorite goal? The goal in the women's World Cup 2011 when Rapinoe sent a long ball to Wambach, who got a header goal.

Who's been your greatest inspiration thus far in your soccer career? Why? Mia Hamm, because I watched her play when I was little and have wanted to be like her ever since.
