Previous losses, including to the Stars, left the Zephyrs bitter, their coach said. They used that feeling to end the season tasting ultimate victory: Winning a state championship.

MN high school girls soccer state tournament

 

Mahtomedi defeated Holy Angels 2-0 Friday at U.S. Bank Stadium for the Class 2A girls soccer state championship. The victory kicked off a successful revenge tour for Mahtomedi’s 11 seniors. They lost to Holy Angels in the 2022 Class 2A title game and dropped the 2023 Class 2A, Section 4 title game to Totino-Grace.
