We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.

Other games to keep an eye on

Chaska vs. Chanhassen, 5 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 15. Sophomore Kayde Landree (six goals) will try to help the Hawks (2-4) keep up as they travel to take on senior and Minnesota commit Grace Fogarty (11 goals, three assists) and the Storm (4-1) in this next-door-neighbor rivalry. Chanhassen has a 3-2 series advantage over the last five seasons.

Hill-Murray vs. Simley, 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 13. Hill-Murray (3-0-1) has found success on offense early in 2022, scoring at least three goals in three of its first four games. Metro East foe Simley (4-2), however, will look to slow the Pioneers down, as the Spartans have finished with four shutouts behind goalkeepers Valerie DuVal (21 saves) and Maddie Johnson (14 saves).
