Three players made waves out of the South Suburban conference in this year's Class 3A All-State First team.

Three players from three different positions, to be precise. Taylor Heimerl, a midfielder, Joey Edgar, a defender and Jordan Hecht, a goalkeeper all made the Class 3A All-State First team from Rosemount this season.

The Irish lost in the Class 3A State Tournament Third Place game against Edina, but got out to an impressive 19-3-0 record largely thanks to the three players above playing exceptional soccer.

Starting up front, Heimerl was Rosemount's points leader with 34 in 19 games. She boasted 14 goals, a tie for second on the team and tore through with the assist lead of 20, eight more than the next closest player.

On the back end, Edgar shut down the opposition, but also knocked in three goals of herself, plus an assist, in 19 games.

In net, Hecht was as stingy as they come. She played in all 22 games for the Irish and stopped 88 shots, allowing just 10 goals past her. All of that made good for a 0.67 goals against average, one of the best rates this season for a keeper that played as much as she did.
