Ar Ri Shae broke a scoreless tie with 14 minutes left to give No. 3 seed St. Paul Humboldt a 1-0 victory over Rochester Lourdes. Shae got his head on a ball from Ywar Hay Tha and redirected it back against the play for the winner.

Shae scored moments after Eagles goalkeeper Frederick Suhler made a lunging save on a shot heading for the far top corner.

“We felt like [a goal] was coming,” Hawks head coach John Pucci said. “We had lots of chances. In the first half there were three or four that were just wide of the post. We felt like we had some momentum behind us.”

The Hawks had opportunity after opportunity to score. They missed the net on several great opportunities and had shot attempts blocked.

Hawks goalkeeper Mu Tu Hsa Lah left the game with an injury after colliding with Eagles midfielder Trent Neff in the box. Hsa Lah returned to the game several minutes later.
