Rosemount girls score four over Elk River en route to Class 3A state semifinal

Jessica Oliver picked a good time for her first hat trick of the season.

The junior forward peppered the net, scoring twice in the first 15 minutes and again in the second half to pace No. 3 Rosemount in a 4-0 win against unseeded Elk River in Thursday’s Class 3A state quarterfinal in Eden Prairie.

Rosemount shut out its 12th opponent in a row to move on in the Class 3A state tournament.

The No. 3 seeded Irish (19-1-0) beat the unseeded Elk River Elks (11-6-3), 4-0, in Thursday’s quarterfinal in Eden Prairie.

Jessica Oliver recorded a hat trick, scoring in the fourth, 15th and 61st minutes.

Rylan Rintoul recorded two assists, teaming with Oliver on her second and third goals. Taylor Heimerl had two assists with one to Oliver and the other to Ava Grate in the 30th minute.

Heimerl is up to a team high 20 assists and Oliver a team high 15 goals.

The Irish held the Elks without a shot on goal until the 37th minute.

Rosemount’s Jordan Hecht made five saves. Elk River’s Breanna Bernardson made seven saves.
