Mahtomedi coach Dave Wald still thinks his team has its best soccer ahead of it. That’s a scary thought for the three other Class 2A semifinalists.

Starting with two goals in the third and fourth minutes by junior forward Katelyn Beulke, Mahtomedi dispatched Mankato West 4-1 in the girls’ soccer state tournament quarterfinals Thursday in Eden Prairie.
