And the winner is... Boys' Soccer top performer revealed

See who fans voted as the top performer from Sept. 5-Sept. 11.

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Soccer Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Zach Plante, St. Cloud Cathedral. The floodgates have been open all season for the 3-0 Crusaders. They're outscoring opponents 33-0 with Plante leading the charge. The senior forward recorded his second hat trick of the season with six goals in a 22-0 win Sept. 7 vs. Melrose. He added an assist in a 4-0 win Sept. 9 at Minnewaska Area.

Top performer candidates

Morgan Olson, Benilde-St. Margaret's. The junior midfielder has surged into a tie for the state goals lead with 12, based on stats submitted to MN Soccer Hub. He's the leader among Class 2A teams. Olson has scored in every game this season, leading the Red Knights to a 6-1 record and a No. 7 ranking in the Sept. 6 Class 2A coaches' poll. Last week, he scored twice in a 7-0 win Sept. 9 at New Prague and had a hat trick and an assist in a 6-0 win Sept. 11 vs. Breck.

Joey Schreier, La Crescent-Hokah. Schreier played a hand in six of the Lancers' seven goals last week. After recording one goal and two assists in the first three games of the season, the senior midfielder scored once and assisted twice in a 4-0 win Sept. 9 at St. Charles/Lewiston-Altura and scored twice and assisted once in a 3-1 win at Triton/Kenyon-Wanamingo.

Owen Dinzeo, Hill-Murray. The senior goalkeeper collected a pair of shutouts last week for the No. 3-2A Pioneers. Dinzeo made four saves in a 4-0 win Sept. 7 vs. St. Anthony and eight in a 3-0 win Sept. 9 at St. Paul Washington. He's made 22 of 23 saves (.956) on the season for the 5-0 squad.

Cooper Nowak, Princeton. Nowak has climbed into a share of the state goals lead and is tops in Class A with 12. The senior midfielder notched his third hat trick of the season Sept. 9 in the Tigers' 8-0 win vs. Big Lake. He added an assist in the match and had Princeton's lone goal in a 3-1 loss Sept. 11 to Willmar.
