And the winner is...MN Soccer Hub Girls' Top Performer revealed

See who fans voted as the top performer from Sept. 28-Oct. 3.

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Soccer Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top performer winner

Brynley Theis, Waconia. The sophomore forward, who leads the Wildcats with 15 goals this season, fueled two Wildcat triumphs last week with three points in each game. In a 4-0 win on Sept. 30 at Delano, she scored twice and added an assist. Two days later, Theis recorded three goals in the Wildcats' 7-0 defeat of Holy Family Catholic. Theis has recorded at least one point in all her games this season and has recorded three points in each of the past five games.

Top performer candidates

Elizabeth Dietzen, Benilde-St. Margaret’s. The junior midfielder tallied a season-high six points during the Red Knights’ 9-0 defeat of Bloomington Kennedy on Sept. 29. Dietzen tallied four assists — increasing her team-leading total to seven — and scored twice to help the Red Knights extend their winning streak to eight games. 

Belle Freeberg, Cannon Falls. Freeberg, a senior midfielder, matched her season high of six points in the Bombers' 6-0 defeat of Triton/Kenyon-Wanamingo/Hayfield on Sept. 29. Freeberg scored four goals and added two assists to lead the Bombers' win which broke a six-game losing streak. Freeberg leads the team offensively with 12 goals and six assists.

Ali Hedlund, Coon Rapids. The senior goalkeeper posted her second shutout of the season, making a season-high 21 saves in the Cardinals' 0-0 tie with Rogers on Oct. 1. Hedlund is fifth in the state with 134 saves this season, according to stats submitted to the MN Soccer Hub.

Miah Olson, Monticello. Olson spearheaded the Magic's 7-1 victory over Becker on Sept. 28, scoring twice and tallying three assists. The senior forward's output broke a personal four-game scoreless streak to pace Monticello's offense.
