We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.

Other games to keep an eye on

St. Louis Park vs. Benilde-St. Margaret’s, 5 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 24. St. Louis Park (6-2-2, 3-1-0) owns a four-game winning streak — all by shutout — while west metro neighbor No. 5-1A  Benilde-St. Margaret’s (6-1-4, 3-0-0) is unbeaten in its last seven (all four victories and one of the ties were shutouts).

Lakeville North vs. Shakopee, 5 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 24. The South Suburban Conference is a muddled mess. This matchup between title contenders Lakeville North (7-3-0, 3-2-0) and Shakopee (7-1-2, 2-1-1) promises to provide at least a measure of clarity.
