We task our reporters with identifying several intriguing games throughout the state to assemble our Top Games of the Week. The matchups are presented in no particular order, and when there are additional games we want to highlight, we’ll include them with brief notes.

Other games to keep an eye on

Rocori vs. Brainerd, 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 24. Christian Rodriguez and his whopping 20 goals this season lead Rocori (8-1-1, 4-1-1), which along with Brainerd (6-1-1, 5-1-0) are the two teams most closely chasing No. 10-1A St. Cloud Tech for the Central Lakes Conference championship.

Mankato West vs. Northfield, 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 26. Northfield (9-0-0, 7-0-0), which enters the week unbeaten, doesn’t appear in the state rankings, but that could change with a victory over Big 9 Conference rival Mankato West (7-2-2, 5-2-1).
