A pair of Wright County Conference foes unbeaten in league play met on a windy Tuesday evening at Waconia High School. The host Wildcats were able to grab the lead midway through the first half, but were unable to hold on as Orono fought back with a goal in the 77th minute to force overtime.
After a scoreless overtime, the match ended with each team registering another tie, which both teams seem to have a knack for this season as Waconia (2-1-4, 2-0-1) registered its fourth tie of the year, while Orono (4-3-3, 3-0-1) notched its third.
Orono jumped to a fast start, dominating the pace of play and controlling the ball early.
