And the winner is... MN Soccer Hub Boys' Top Performer revealed

See who fans voted as the Top Performer for Sept. 3-7

Athletes are considered for the weekly top performer poll only if their stats are entered on the MN Soccer Hub by 10 a.m. on Sundays. If coaches or members of their staffs need access to enter stats, please email mnhubs@sportngin.com.


Top Performer winner

Assem Elsayad, St. Paul Central. Elsayad scored or assisted on three or more goals in all three of St. Paul Central's (7-1-0, 4-0-0) wins during the week — seven goals and four assists. The Minutemen, ranked No. 8 in the Class 2A coaches' poll from Sept. 8, are on a six-game winning streak.

Top performer candidates

Kyle Goettsche, Osseo. The senior goalkeeper stopped 17 shots in Osseo's (1-3-1, 1-1-1) 4-2 win over Spring Lake Park on Sept. 3. Two days later, he made 21 saves in a 1-1 tie at Robbinsdale Armstrong. With 99 saves entering the week, Goettsche is the state leader in saves, based on stats submitted to the MN Soccer Hub.

Jacob Keller, Monticello. In three matches last week, Keller scored two or more goals leading Monticello (4-2-0, 1-0-0) to three wins. Keller's peak performance was on Sept. 7 when the senior notched a hat trick and an assist in a 4-2 victory at Mound Westonka.

Benji Pomonis, Blake. Four goals and an assist from Pomonis propelled Blake (7-0-0, 4-0-0) to a 9-0 win over Province Academy on Sept. 5. He recorded seven goals in three matches for the No. 1-1A Bears last week.

Sawyer Ritter, Mayer Lutheran. Ritter had a goal and an assist, helping lead Mayer Lutheran (5-1-0, 1-0-0) to a 3-2 win over Rockford/HLWW on Sept. 3. A couple days later, he scored twice and registered an assist, setting up a 5-0 victory over Jordan.
