Champlin Park vs. Andover

5 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 13

There are a number of teams near the top of the Northwest Suburban Conference that have certainly been recognized. Two that might not be on your radar but most likely will be soon are Champlin Park and Andover. They meet on Sept. 13.

The Rebels (4-1, 4-1) have lost just once to Maple Grove in a tight 3-2 battle on Aug. 31.

Champlin Park has shown itself to be quite the offensive juggernaut in 2022, averaging more than four goals per game.

Senior Sylvester Doe has helped lead that charge after an all-state season in 2021. He scored a combined four goals in a 7-0 win against Rogers and both of his team's goals in the 3-2 loss to the Crimson.

Andover (6-0, 6-0) has been perfect thus far and has done so while putting in some strong defensive efforts. The Huskies have allowed just two goals in their six games this season. The goalkeeping tandem of Christian Guenther and Nolan Meyer has resulted in a .917 save percentage and a .33 goals against average.
