Champlin Park vs. Andover

7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 13

Heading into the third week of the season, this matchup between Andover and Champlin Park will feature two Northwest Suburban Conference teams who win with different styles of play.

Champlin Park (2-1-2) has used defense to its advantage thus far and is looking to get back into the win column. After two shutout victories to start the season, the Rebels have not won a game their last three times on the field. While the offense has only scored multiple goals once this season, the defensive unit has held each opponent to one goal or fewer in five of its six games. Senior goalkeeper Sarah Martin has 20 saves on the year.

As the seventh-ranked team in the Class 3A coaches' poll early in the 2022 season, the Huskies (4-1-1) have had one of the state’s best offenses, netting 22 goals in six games. Powered by junior Brenna Hudson (seven goals, six assists), and freshman Addie Dobratz (six goals, two assists), Andover is among one of the top teams competing for the conference title.
