Esko vs. Cloquet-Carlton

7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 7

Esko co-ops with Cloquet and Carlton in several sports, but it goes alone in girls’ soccer. Quite successfully, too.

The Eskomos (8-5-0) play an insanely difficult schedule against top programs in the Duluth area and from around the state, almost all of which have a distinct edge in enrollment (Esko has 384 students). Junior Ava Korby is among the team’s scoring leaders.

Kiley Issendorf (eight goals) and Alexa Snesrud (seven goals) are among the scoring leaders for Cloquet-Carlton (11-2-0), which topped Esko 1-0 on Aug. 31.
