Rochester Lourdes makes two trips to the north metro suburbs this week, the second of which is a Saturday bus ride to Fridley for an all-private school showdown against Totino-Grace.
Last week, No. 5-1A Lourdes (10-2-0) had its seven-game winning streak snapped on Friday a 1-0 loss to Byron. The recovery was quick and resounding, as Lourdes romped past Austin 5-0 behind two Amelia Gossman goals.
Totino-Grace has seven shutouts this season, including last Thursday’s 0-0 tie with No. 5-3A Maple Grove. Senior Kaitlyn Brandt and junior Molly Vance are among the top scorers for No. 6-2A Totino-Grace (6-4-2).
