St. Paul Central won the opener of its regular-season series with St. Paul Humboldt 1-0 on Sept. 11 and then triumphed again on Oct. 2 in a 3-0 decision. A victory Friday would complete a season sweep of the Hawks and assure the No. 4-2A Minutemen of the St. Paul City Conference championship.
The Minutemen (8-0-1, 6-0-0) have two eight-goal scorers in seniors Assem Elsayad and Thomas Bump. Junior Dylan Barrett is another top scoring threat, with five goals and five assists this season.
Senior Eh Ler Moo is a top scorer for Humboldt (6-2-2, 5-1-0), and senior Joe Deuitch, with 13 assists, is the Hawks’ primary setup man.
