Champlin Park vs. Centennial

7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 17

Defending Class 2A state champion Maple Grove knocked off both Champlin Park (3-0 in the semifinals) and Centennial (2-1 in the championship) en route to the 2019 title. Both Champlin Park and Centennial have extracted some measure of revenge this fall by beating the Crimson en route to unblemished records and lofty Class 2A state rankings (Centennial is No. 2; Champlin Park is No. 4).

Senior Maille Mathis has scored two goals in each of Champlin Park’s (4-0-0, 4-0-0) games this season. Her eight goals are just four less than the 12 she scored in all of last year's regular season.

Senior Khyah Harper leads Centennial (4-0-0, 4-0-0) with nine goals, five more than Tatum Trettel, the team's No. 2 scorer.
