St. Louis Park vs. Minneapolis Washburn

7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 5

St. Louis Park is unbeaten but not perfect. Not quite, anyway, after playing to a 0-0 tie with Benilde-St. Margaret’s on Sept. 24 — the only non-win on the No. 2-2A Orioles’ schedule.

St. Louis Park (10-0-1, 4-0-1) closes its regular season this week, beginning with a Thursday home game against Chanhassen followed by a jaunt to Minneapolis Washburn (10-2-1, 4-0-0) in the finale on Saturday.

The match at Washburn could provide a playoff-like atmosphere if the Orioles, who include Daniel Lainsbury Jr. among their scoring leaders, enter it unbeaten.

In the past few weeks, the No. 8-2A Millers, led by ace scorer Darley Florvil (19 goals), have knocked off previously unbeaten St. Cloud Tech (3-0 on Sept. 21) and one-loss No. 3-2A Lakeville North (1-0 on Sept. 28).
