Edina sophomore Maddie Dahlien continued her scoring tear last week with three more goals in two games to boost her season total to 21. She had the lone goal for the No. 1-2A Hornets in Saturday’s 1-1 tie with No. 6-2A St. Michael-Albertville and has been held scoreless just three times in 14 games.
Edina (12-1-1, 8-1-1) pummeled Minnetonka (10-2-1, 7-2-1) 5-0 on Sept. 14, a stunningly lopsided victory highlighted by three goals from Dahlien.
The No. 7-2A Skippers don’t have a scoring threat to match Dahlien, but they do have one of the state’s top defenders in senior Emilia Johnson and a talented goalkeeper in senior Olivia Graupmann.
