Byron can gain an edge in this season's section seeding with a victory — the Bears’ lone losses this fall came against St. Charles (2-1 on Aug. 23) and Class 2A metro school Eastview (4-0 on Sept. 16). Otherwise, it's been a season of mostly dominating victories for Byron (8-2-0, 3-0-0), with Josilyn Cordes (11 goals) and Tegan Boyer (nine goals) leading the offense.
Rochester Lourdes is coming off Saturday’s 2-0 triumph over Austin. Alyssa Ustby and Amelia Gossman each scored for the No. 8-1A Eagles (8-1-1, 3-0-0), boosting their goal-scoring streaks to three games each.
