Waconia vs. Breck

7:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 26

Waconia stumbled last week in its most significant game this season, losing 2-0 to longtime nemesis No. 9-1A Orono on Tuesday. But the No. 4-1A Wildcats can jump right back into the state-title-contenders conversation with a triumph over No. 3-1A Breck.

Waconia (9-1-0, 3-1-0) goalkeeper Nate White has posted spectacular numbers: five goals allowed on 78 shots for a .936 save percentage and .500 goals-against average.

Breck (10-2-0, 5-0-0) passed a big test last Wednesday, beating No. 1-1A Blake 4-2 behind a balanced attack (Jake Silverman, Nikolai Ganev, Spencer Chapman and Walsh Kern each had goals).
