St. Cloud Tech vs. Minneapolis Washburn

8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 21

St. Cloud Tech makes a rare appearance in the metro when it faces Minneapolis Washburn on Saturday.

St. Cloud Tech (6-0-0, 4-0-0), which sits atop the Central Lakes Conference standings, is led by Ethan Miller and Zakaria Mohamed, each of whom have five goals. Goalkeeper Christian Engel has been rock solid, allowing one goal on 40 shots for a sterling .975 save percentage.

The Tigers’ defense will be tested by a No. 5-2A Minneapolis Washburn offense averaging three goals per game. Darley Florvil, a Star Tribune All-Metro second-team pick last season, leads the Millers (5-2-1, 2-0-0) with 11 goals after scoring 18 last fall.
