Farmington vs.

Lakeville North

7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10

Farmington was undefeated and virtually unchallenged through four games — outscoring opponents by a combined 19-4 — before suffering a 1-0 loss to Bloomington Jefferson on Saturday.

The Tigers’ (4-1-0, 1-0-0) offense is a study in balance, as Jonny GideonChristain PattersonBen Lessert and Sam McMillan each share the team lead with three goals.

Lakeville North (4-0-0, 1-0-0) opened the season by feasting on Big 9 Conference competition, beating Rochester Mayo 1-0 on Aug. 22, Owatonna 1-0 two days later, and Rochester Century 2-0 on Aug. 27, before launching into South Suburban Conference play on Thursday with a 3-0 rout of Burnsville.

Thanks, in part, to the work of junior goalkeeper Evan Siefken, the No. 7-2A Panthers have yet to allow a goal this season.
