St. Cloud Tech vs.

St. Cloud Apollo

7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 27

St. Cloud Tech is the only team this season to mar St. Cloud Apollo's Central Lakes Conference record, with the two splitting a 3-3 result on Aug. 30.

After giving up two goals — and scoring none — in that game's second half, the Tigers (7-1-2, 5-1-2) should be eager to prove they can take down the conference leader in the rematch.

St. Cloud Tech's offense has been rolling since the season's onset, with the Tigers recording at least two goals in every game. Ethan Miller leads the team with 11 goals, and assists leader Keyse Elmi (7 goals, 11 assists) keeps the attack running smoothly.

St. Cloud Apollo (8-2-1, 6-0-1) has failed to score in only one game this season, a 3-0 loss to No. 7-1A Bemidji on Sept. 20. Otherwise, the offense has been humming behind Logan Lommel and his team-leading 13 goals and state-leading 15 assists.

Lommel had two assists in the first game between these squads. If he and the St. Cloud Apollo offense can turn in a solid performance, the Eagles have a good chance to take three points from this match.
