Eastview received the No. 1 seed in Section 3 after going undefeated in the regular season.
The Lightning, who are fourth in the Class 2A state rankings, are the only ranked team in the section.
Eastview (12-0-4) opens section play against eighth-seeded Burnsville, a team the Lightning defeated 5-0 during the regular season. The Blaze (2-12-1) come into this year’s tournament looking to defend its section title.
Section 3 features five South Suburban Conference teams, which means there is plenty of familiarity among the competitors. This includes No. 4 seed Apple Valley (6-6-3), which tied Eastview 2-2 during the regular season.
Eagan (9-7) is the second seed and St. Paul Central (11-4-1) is the third.
