St. Thomas Academy has earned the No. 1 seed in Section 3.
The Cadets are coming off a Class 1A state championship and are third in the state rankings.
St. Thomas Academy (11-1-3) is led by Aman Bird. The senior midfielder posted a team-high 11 goals in 14 regular season matches.
Holy Angels (12-2-2) captured the second seed in the bracket and comes into the section tournament looking to knock off the defending champions. The Stars are currently ranked fifth in the Class 1A coaches’ poll but lost to St. Thomas Academy 5-2 in their lone regular season matchup.
Cristo Rey Jesuit (13-1-2) and St. Paul Academy (8-5-2) round out the top four seeds.
