Edina vs. Eden Prairie
5 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 6

Edina has withstood every challenge this season to maintain its perfect record, including quality wins over Burnsville (2-1) and Prior Lake (2-0).

Grace Deboom scored one goal in each of the past two games, helping the No. 10-2A Hornets record 2-0 victories over Prior Lake and Bloomington Jefferson and improve to 4-0.

Edina gets its biggest test so far this year on Tuesday, when it begins Lake Conference play against rival and No. 5-2A-ranked Eden Prairie in a game that also has postseason seeding implications.

The Eagles knocked the Hornets out of last season's Class 2, Section 2 playoffs with a 1-0 victory in the semifinals. Eden Prairie went on to win the section title and finish as state runners-up.

Both regular season meetings were close a year ago, with the first ending in a 1-1 tie and the Eagles winning the second 2-1.

Eden Prairie (2-1) enters this matchup having won back-to-back games, including a 2-0 shutout of Prior Lake. It’ll be a big week for the Eagles, who also face No. 7-2A Minnetonka in Lake action on Thursday.
