Minnetonka at Edina
7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 12

Suad Suljic led Minnetonka past St. Louis Park 4-3 on Sept. 3, finishing with three goals and an assist in what has been the toughest game thus far for the No. 1-2A Skippers (5-0).

Suljic, the reigning Star Tribune Metro Player of the Year, scored three goals in two of Minnetonka's first five games and leads the state with nine goals on the season. The senior forward also has seven assists.

Minnetonka cruised past No. 6-2A Eagan 5-1 in the season opener and has outscored opponents 27-6.

Edina (3-0) has victories over No. 5-1A Breck 4-1, Prior Lake 2-0 and Bloomington Jefferson 1-0.

Sophomore Nate Clifford and junior Peter Rundquist each had a goal against Breck, while sophomore Matt Lindberg scored twice against Prior Lake. The No. 3-2A Hornets have just five seniors and have seem to have the makings to be a force for a while.

The winner of this game will get a leg up in the Lake Conference title race, which the Skippers won last season.
