Jose Cholico scored two goals for Chaska in a 2-2 tie at Burnsville on Sept. 1. Cholico also had a goal against Prairie Seeds Academy in a 4-4 tie.

The No. 9-1A Hawks (1-0-3, 0-1-0) lost to No. 7-1A Benilde-St. Margaret’s 1-0 in their first Metro West Conference matchup.

Chaska has faced tough opponents, and so has St. Louis Park (2-1-1).

The Orioles defeated Robbinsdale Armstrong 2-0 and Hopkins 3-1 in overtime. St. Louis Park also tied No. 3-2A Wayzata 1-1 and lost to No. 1-2A Minnetonka 4-3.

Anthony Brandel, Zinedine Kroeten and Hussein Al-Tameemi notched goals for St. Louis Park against Hopkins. Kroeten and Brandel both have two goals on the season.

The Orioles gave the Skippers their stiffest test of the season in the one-goal game on Sept. 3. Minnetonka had won its previous three contests by no fewer than three goals.

Maxwell Kent had two goals for the Orioles and Abdikafi Warsame had one against the Skippers.
