2A girls: Eagan follows script to hand Wayzata first loss

Eagan got a goal from Megan Plaschko in the second minute of the game, added another from Molly Busch midway through the second half and made that advantage stand up Tuesday, beating previously undefeated Wayzata 2-1 in the Class 2A semifinals.

Wayzata (16-1-3) got a goal from Megan Prazich in the 59th minute, cutting the Eagan lead to 2-1, but could not get the equalizer in the game at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Eagan (16-2-2) has won eight consecutive state tournament games. The Wildcats won the Class 2A championships in 2014 and 2015.
