Boys' soccer Player of the Week revealed

See who was voted Player of the Week for Oct. 2-7

Player of the Week winner

Gael Ntambwen, Coon Rapids The forward's goal and two assists in a 3-1 win over Spring Lake Park ended a three-game losing streak.

Player of the Week candidates

Chris Kussow, DeLaSalle Kussow scored three times in a 5-3 win over St. Anthony on Oct. 6. He is among the top goal scorers and distributors in the Tri-Metro Conference with nine goals and eight assists.

Haluk Ercan-Fang, Blake Ercan-Fang's two second-half goals led Blake to a 3-2 win over Orono on Oct. 5. The junior ranks among the best producers in the Independent Metro Athletic Conference with 10 goals and six assists.

Satchell Ekblad, Lake City Ekblad had 17 saves in a 1-0 shutout win against Cannon Falls on Oct. 5. The goalkeeper led Lake City's defense to two wins during the week.

Erik Kubiatowicz, North St. Paul The junior defender assisted twice in each of North St. Paul's 2-0 wins last week. Kubiatowicz has the most assists in the state with 20.
