Visitation's Conners, St. Michael-Albertville's Langdok named Ms. Soccer

Makenzie Langdok named Ms. Soccer in Class 2A

Makenzie Langdok led St. Michael-Albertville in scoring on the season, recording 28 goals and 12 assists as the Knights advanced to the quarterfinals of the state tournament.

In her senior season, Langdok recorded hat-tricks in three separate games, as the Knights went 15-2-3.

A varsity contributor since she was in eighth grade, Langdok has totaled 72 goals and 182 points in her five seasons, and was named as a participant in the TeamSnap High School Soccer All-America Games. 

Langdok has committed to play at the University of Minnesota next year.

Maggie Conners named Ms. Soccer in Class 1A

Visitation's Maggie Conners ended the regular season leading the state in goals, and finished her senior campaign with 32, giving her 52 career goals. 

For her efforts, Conners was named the Saint Paul Pioneer Press East Metro Girls Soccer Player of the Year. 

The Blazers fell to the Academy of Holy Angels 1-0 in the Section 3A semifinals, ending the season with a 16-2-1 record.

With her soccer season concluded, Conners can now turn her attention to hockey, where she is a standout defender for St. Paul United, last season's Class 1A state tournament runner-up. 

The senior has committed to Gonzaga University to play soccer next year.

About the award

The Minnesota State High School Soccer Coaches Association (MSHSSCA) bestows the Mr. and Ms. Soccer Award to the individual who is determined to be the best player in Minnesota. The awards are handed out to both Class 1A and 2A players and are decided by member coaches from the MSHSSCA.
