Wayzata entered last week undefeated, but two of Class 2A's top teams took care of the Trojans' unblemished record.

Minnetonka, No.1 in the Minnesota State High School Soccer Coaching Association's poll, and Woodbury, No. 4, each defeated fifth-ranked Wayzata.

No. 6 Hopkins had a chance to make a huge splash in the state's Class 2A landscape, but lost to Eden Prairie and Minnetonka last week. The Royals recovered with a 2-1 victory over Blake. The damage, however, was done.

This week provides the Trojans (7-2-3) and Royals (7-3-2) a shot at redemption as the two square off in Wayzata on Saturday in our Top Game of the Week.

Neither team has been lighting up the scoreboard lately but each has a scoring threat. Wayzata's Clayton Smith has six goals this season while Andrew Shirley has nine for Hopkins.
