The Blazers midfielder is looking forward to helping the Tri-Metro Conference school improve on last year’s 8-7-2 record. Here is a closer look at Barth:

Q: The best movie you’ve seen in the past year?

A: Without a doubt “The Intouchables.” Everyone should watch that at some point.

Q: Three words or phrases your friends or teammates might use to describe you?

A: Competitive, lighthearted and compassionate.

Q: What are your three favorite apps?

A: Twitter, Instagram, and the Kim Kardashian game. I am an A-list celebrity.

Q: How did you get started playing soccer?

A: My parents started me in soccer when I was little, just like they did with my brothers. I loved it and had fun with it, so it became my sport of choice.

Q: What are your goals for the upcoming season?

A: To savor this last season with my teammates and make it even farther in sections. [The Blazers were eliminated by Blake 5-0 in the Class 1A, Section 3 quarterfinals in 2013.]

Q: What is your most memorable moment as a high school athlete?

A: Scoring the game- winning goal against one of our big rivals.

Q: Name one sport you wish you could compete in, and why?

A: Gymnastics. They are so strong and I love watching their amazing routines.

Q: Do you have a secret talent — and if so, what is it?

A: I’m really good at moving my fingers so they look like legs walking, running or skipping. It’s been described as uncanny.
