Recap: Maggie Crist had just enough hook on her long shot attempt to give the Skippers a double-overtime 3-2 victory over the Eagles Tuesday at the Metrodome. The 20-yard attempt near the right sideline started to break late and appeared to deceive Eden Prairie goalkeeper Katie Fuhs. The shot hooked into Fuhs’ left side of her body and ricocheted into the net for the game-winner at 94:42.

Minnetonka overcame a 2-0 deficit late in the second half to force overtime, led by standout defender Elizabeth Endy. Shifted to forward for the postseason, Endy assisted on the first goal and scored the game-tying goal with 3:45 left in regulation.

April Bockin scored Eden Prairie’s two goals. Both were assisted by Fuhs.

Quote: “We came back from down two and that’s like a hard thing to do. I think that as a team we had to come together. … I think you just tell [your teammates], ‘Look at the clock, there is still plenty of time. You can score within a minute and the game can be totally changed.’ ” — Minnetonka’s Endy, on how her team overcame a two-goal deficit

One thing to know: Eden Prairie entered the playoffs unranked and unseeded with an 8-5-2 record. However, the Eagles finished the regular season on a five-game winning streak that included a 1-0 win over Minnetonka. They had won nine consecutive games entering Tuesday’s semifinal.
