Quick Q&A

ELLIE BRETTSCHNEIDER

LAKEVILLE SOUTH, SR.

SOCCER

Brettschneider enters her final season as a member of the Cougars’ girls’ soccer team with one goal in mind: to help the program return to the Class 2A state tournament. The school’s last appearance in the field of eight came in 2010. Brettschneider is a defender on coach Dan Flood’s squad.

The best movie I’ve seen in the last year? “The Internship.”

Three words my friends or teammates might use to describe me: Aggressive; loud; E-train.

What are your three favorite apps? Snapchat; Twitter; Netflix.

Who do you like to follow the most on Twitter, and why? Anyone. People are always interesting or stupid in what they say on Twitter, and they’re usually wrong!

At my first varsity practice, I felt … nervous but excited at the same time. I didn’t know what to expect since I was new to the team.

What did you work on most this summer? Foot skills, foot skills, foot skills! I also played summer soccer for my club team, which keeps me in shape for the high school season and next year for college soccer.

What is your favorite meal before a game? Anything really ... I love food. I love to eat.

If you could change one thing about high school sports, what would it be? More fans in the stands, and I would want the season to be a little longer.

How do you balance school and sports during the school year? I try to get a majority of my work done in school if possible. If I cannot finish it, I have to find time after a game or practice. Many times that means late nights.

In 10 years, I hope I’m … a teacher or a occupational therapist with a family and a husky pup.
